My Journey as a Business Student with a Passion for Art

Hello, my name is Pretty Sonia Binti Albert Drew, and I’m currently pursuing a Diploma in Business Administration at Multimedia University. In the world of business and creativity, the power of a personal brand cannot be overstated. It’s not just about what you do, but how you do it and, most importantly, why you do it. As a business student with a passion for creativity, particularly in drawing, I've found that the intersection of these two seemingly distinct worlds is where my personal brand thrives. This blog post is a deep dive into my personal brand story, the skills that define me, and the journey that has shaped who I am today.
Studying business has equipped me with a solid foundation in understanding market dynamics, strategic planning, and the intricacies of management. From analyzing case studies to developing marketing strategies, I’ve gained insights into how businesses operate and succeed. These skills are crucial in today’s fast-paced, ever-changing environment, where adaptability and a keen sense of market trends are vital.
My coursework has also honed my analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Whether it’s interpreting financial statements or developing a comprehensive business plan, I’ve learned to approach challenges with a strategic mindset. This perspective allows me to see the bigger picture while also focusing on the details that drive success.
While business feeds my logical side, drawing nurtures my creativity. Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the world of art. What started as a hobby has evolved into a passion that complements my business studies. Drawing allows me to express ideas that go beyond words; it’s a way to communicate concepts, emotions, and visions.
My art is a reflection of my experiences and the world around me. I find inspiration in the simplest of things, whether it’s the way light filters through leaves or the vibrant colors of a bustling city. This artistic perspective has enriched my approach to business, offering a fresh and innovative lens through which to view challenges and opportunities.
The true strength of my personal brand lies in the synergy between my business acumen and artistic passion. In business, creativity is not just an asset—it’s a necessity. My ability to think creatively enables me to devise innovative solutions to complex problems. Whether it’s designing a unique marketing campaign, creating compelling presentations, or visualizing data in a way that tells a story, my artistic skills enhance my business capabilities.
In addition to my drawing skills, I have developed proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These technical skills complement my business education, allowing me to create effective presentations, analyze data, and build a basic online presence for my projects.
As I continue to develop my personal brand, I focus on integrating these two facets of my identity. My goal is to be seen as a well-rounded individual who can bring both creativity and strategy to the table. I’m constantly working on refining my skills, whether it’s through furthering my business education or experimenting with new drawing techniques.
I believe that in today’s competitive world, having a unique brand is essential. By combining my business studies with my passion for drawing, I’m carving out a niche for myself—one where creativity meets strategy, and where artistic expression enhances business success.
My personal brand is a testament to the power of combining diverse skills and passions. As I continue on my journey, I aim to leverage my business knowledge and artistic talent to create value in everything I do. Whether it’s in the boardroom or the studio, I am committed to making a difference by bringing a unique, creative perspective to the world of business.
