My Passion

Hello , Welcome to My Art Blog!

I'm Pretty Sonia Binti Albert Drew, a passionate artist who finds joy in every stroke of the pencil and every line on the paper. Drawing and sketching are not just hobbies for me — they’re an essential part of who I am. Sometimes, sketching helps me release stress and brings a sense of calm. From a young age, I was captivated by how a simple pencil could bring ideas to life on paper. What started as doodles in the margins of my notebooks quickly grew into a deep passion for sketching and creating art. Over the years, I’ve explored different styles, experimented with various techniques, and found my voice as an artist.

Along with drawing and sketching, another big part of my creative life is watching anime. Anime has always been a major source of inspiration for my artwork. The unique characters, dynamic poses, and vibrant worlds of anime fuel my imagination and push me to improve my skills. I love incorporating the expressive and detailed art styles from anime into my own sketches, and it helps me stay connected to a community of creatives who share the same passion."

"The Difference Between Drawing And Sketching"

What is Drawing?

Drawing is creating pictures by making marks on paper with tools like pencils, pens, or markers. It can be as simple as a line drawing or as detailed as a realistic image. Artists use drawing to show ideas or to create detailed artwork. Drawing is important for making other types of art like paintings or designs, and it helps artists learn about shapes, light, shadows, and how things look in real life.

What is Sketching?

Sketching is a quick and simple way of drawing. Instead of focusing on details, sketches are used to get ideas on paper quickly. It’s a rough version of a drawing that doesn’t have to be perfect. Artists often sketch to plan bigger drawings or to test out new ideas. Sketching can be done with pencils or even pens, and the lines are often loose and flowing.

Lines and Shading: Artists use different lines, from light to dark, to show shadows and make their drawings look more real.

Quick Gestures: Sketching is great for quickly drawing a person or object without spending a lot of time on the details.

Contours: Contour drawing is focusing just on the outlines of an object, which helps make simple drawings of things like people or buildings.

                                                                "Anime Inspiration"

How Anime Inspires My Art

Anime is known for its distinct and often exaggerated features, like large, expressive eyes, dynamic poses, and detailed backgrounds. Watching anime helps me learn different techniques for character design and how to capture emotion in my sketches. The mix of storytelling and visual art in anime is something I try to reflect in my own work, whether it's through creating characters or sketching dramatic scenes.

The Balance of Art and Enjoyment
Watching anime is not just a source of inspiration; it’s also a way for me to relax and enjoy storytelling. The blend of art and narrative in anime resonates deeply with me, reminding me of the power of creativity. By combining my passions for drawing and anime, I find a fulfilling way to express myself and share my love for both art forms.
